Our trip to Haiti was totally a trip ordered by the Lord. From the beginning, finances, our family and a sense of peace fell upon us when we said yes to the invitation. The things that had to happen and did is only more proof that this was a trip ordained from God. And the fruit of the trip and the changes in our own lives is more than words can say. The following is an outline of our trip. It by no means tells the whole story but will give you an idea of how our days were.

Day 1 - We journeyed from Houston to Miami, we then had a 4 hour layover in Miami and continued to Port of Prince. We landed and fell into chaos as many of us have never seen. We were blessed by having Eric Cummings there, he went earlier and was prepared for our arrival, getting your luggage is nothing like getting luggage here in the states, we were thankful for the team Eric put together to help us get the luggage. We then made our first trip on the bus, people everywhere, we were a little overwhelmed with all we were taking in. But we made it to the house, unloaded and were briefed on how our week was shaping up.
Day 2 and 3 - We were at the Sugar Cane Museum for 2 days of training and equipping the local Pastors. This was an awesome time, our first real interaction with Haitian's and they were so hungry for God. We ended up with almost 1000 Pastors completing the training sessions. It was awesome.
Day 4 - This was the first day of the Crusades. But the morning took us to a local hospital, we were split into 3 teams and went to different wards of the hospital. My team went to the surgery ward. Words cannot explain what we saw, I will try to paint a picture in your mind. Jacks were used to hold the ceiling and second floor up in places, no electricity, no lights, and no air conditioning. We saw flies everywhere due to stitches and amputees. The horrible smell was more than words can say. We prayed for all 10 men in the ward, we prayed for their families, all heaven came in with us, families and patients were filled with divine peace, patients were healed (one was getting dressed and going home, praising the Lord). We then prepared for the first night of the crusades, about 250 thousand came. Praise and worship was great. Everyone prayed for was healed, delivered or saved. God moved in a mighty way.
Day 5 - our group woke up and was blessed with the opportunity to go shopping. A market was set up at a UN outpost. All sorts of wares were sold, from clothes to authentic Haitian arts and crafts. It was fun, they love to barter. We then got ready for day two of the crusades. The crowd more than doubled in size. Again the praise and worship was awesome and the Holy Spirit fell and everyone prayed for was healed.
Day 6 - (Easter) - we celebrated with local churches and it was a real joyful time, these people are so hungry for God. The team was treated to a lunch at an American Style Restaurant called the Epid'or, our first time in Haiti that we had A/C, American food, and even ice cream. Then the final night of the Crusade, over 1 million came hungry for God, and he showed up, so many gave the lives to Christ, we prayed for as many as we could and all were healed, it was the most awesome thing I have witnessed or ever been a part of. The presence of God was so strong.
Day 7 - We all went and saw Pastor Rene's new site. Then we went up to his compound to play and feed the orphans. Toys were handed out and it was a terrific time for us as well as the kids. We were shown his vision, saw his brick project, and watched how the facility worked, it is a true gift for the Kingdom of God. Then the team was awarded with a trip to the beach and some free time to swim and play in the Carribean.
Day 8 - The final day. We got to go to Faith Love and Hope Infant Rescue. And had such a great time holding and loving the orphaned infants and toddlers. Thats all they wanted to be held and loved on, yes even the men melted at this. Then it was time to come back to the states.

All of us were blessed by this trip and cant wait till the next one.
